Fashion:

Steve Madden Slides

These shoes go with everything! Since they are slides, they are so easy to throw on with every outfit. Right now, the white ones have pretty limited quantities, but you can get a similar pair here. Or here. I might have to buy the tan and black versions because I love these so much! They are super comfy and stay on your feet while you walk, which is an issue with some slides that I own.

Beauty:

Drunk Elephant Glycolic Acid Serum

Lately, I’ve been trying to invest in good quality skincare products because you only get one skin! First, I did a lot of research on the products that are actually worth spending money on, then added my first addition: Drunk Elephant’s T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum. I first tried out the deluxe sample set that includes their luxury marula oil and I fell in love.  This product cleared up my skin and left it breakout free! Plus, my old acne scars faded and my skin seemed less congested. After a beach trip recently, I acquired a few sun spots on my hand. Using a tiny bit of this on my hand every day, made the spots disappear in a few weeks.

Book:

The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin

This book is not an informative, mind-altering self-help book, but it is not meant to be. It is meant to be a light, fun, inspiring book about one woman’s experiences as she discovers what true happiness means. I found that this book was filled with many insightful little truths and I felt that I could relate to this author more times than once. This book is very easy to read. The writing is witty, well organized, and flows nicely. I definitely do not have the time or the means to do a project like Gretchen’s but it did give me some small tips and inspired me to make some changes, such as start this blog! Overall, this was a happy and inspiring book to read and I would recommend it! Netflix:

Queer Eye

If you have Netflix, you have probably heard of this show by now. In case you have not, it is a reality show where the “Fabulous Five”, makeover and transform someone in need of some changes. Each person in the Fab Five has a specific category to focus on (grooming, fashion, food, culture, and design). I love how dramatic each transformation turns out to be. The Fab Five amazes me each time! Especially the home makeover part; It blows my mind how each house turns out so perfect after only 3 days! I need Bobby to come makeover my house, please!

Food:

Avocado, Tomato, Egg Toast

So easy, yet so good! This is my go-to meal every day. I can eat it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! You do not need a recipe for this, which is the best part! First, fry up an egg and add some salt and pepper. Next, cut up some grape tomatoes and half of an avocado. Then, toast your bread of choice and assemble!

Music:

Some of my recent randoms include: “Beyond” by Leon Bridges, “Broken” by lovelytheband, and “Fools Gold” by Chapel. I have also really been into a lot of acoustic pop-punk lately and old punk favorites from my high school days. (found on my EMOtional playlist here) On repeat right now is “Part of Me” by Neck Deep. These songs remind me of being an emotional wreck of a teenager and for some reason, I am missing that time of my life lately. You can listen to more of my current playlist here.
