Here are the 5 books on my 2019 summer reading list. Back when I was in school, summer was my time to read as many books as I can. I would stay up all night reading. One summer, I read like 10 books. With a full-time job, a blog, my addiction to Netflix, and a (some-what non-existent) social-life, reading always gets pushed aside now. Making a list like this helps me to stick to my reading goals. I think 5 books is a do-able number, but I guess we will just have to wait and see which of these I actually finish. If you decide to read any of these books or have read any already, I would love to hear your thoughts! Summer book club anyone??

The Sun is Also A Star
By: Nicola Yoon
I added this to my list because the movie version just came out and I prefer reading the books before watching the movie. This is the same author who wrote Everything, Everything which they also turned into a film. I am expecting this to be any easy, probably predicable, cutesy novel. Perfect for reading by the pool.
The Woman in the Window
By: A.J Finn
This book has been sitting on my shelf for a while and I’ve been super into thrillers lately. It is also in production to become a movie to be released this fall. Reading the description gives me Disturbia vibes, which used to be my favorite movie in high school.
All the Ugly and Wonderful Things
By: Bryn Greenwood
I’m honestly not too sure what this book will be like but I bought it at Half Price Books awhile back mainly because the title sounded cool. From Amazon, “A beautiful and provocative love story between two unlikely people and the hard-won relationship that elevates them above the Midwestern meth lab backdrop of their lives.”
Vox
By: Christina Dalcher
In this novel based in the near future, woman’s rights are being taken way and are only allowed to speak 100 words a day. I love dystopian, end of the world, type books so this seemed right up my alley. Plus, I feel like it might have some relevant information about today’s society. For fans of The Handmaid’s Tale.
Tomorrow There Will Be Sun
By: Dana Reinhardt
I was on the search for a beachy, vacation themed novel to add to my summer reading list and came across this one. It seems like there’s a big twist somewhere in there and I’m excited to find out what it is!

You can totally read all of them!! I absolutely love reading lists as they help keep me accountable. I made it a resolution in 2018 to finish a book at LEAST once a month. And I’ve actually kept it since!
