Spring is almost here! Well, here in Chicago not so much (it’s 12 degrees right now), but stores are starting to stock up on all things spring and it’s getting me so excited! After seeing some new trends online and in stores, I decided to compile some of my favorite pieces from each trend. Check ’em out and let me know what your favorite spring trend of 2019 is!

Belted Swimsuits

Obsessed with this trend! I love that one-pieces are back in style. I feel so much more comfortable while wearing a one-piece and there are so many more different styles! Designers have recently been coming out with such unique one-piece swimsuits such as these belted ones! I have also seen a lot of high-waisted two-piece suits with belts, as well. Adding a belt helps to accentuate your waist and makes brings attention to the smallest part of your body. Plus it allows you accessorize even at the beach!

Crochet Mesh Net Bags

Wish I had one of these during my recent trip to Fort Myers, Florida! I kept thinking about how I needed a cute little bag to keep my seashell finds in during my beach walks. These bags are super fun to carry all your beach stuff, everyday essentials, or even for grocery shopping! Such a fun spring trend.

Midi Dresses

I was never really a fan of teeny tiny mini dresses so I am SO happy that these longer midi dresses are in style right now. They are comfortable and classy. I picked up a few from NastyGal.com for my spring break beach trip and got so many compliments on them! And the best part is you never have to worry about flashing anyone when you sit down!

Hair Scarves

I just picked up a few of these and I am in loooveee. These make any hairstyle 10 times better and they are so easy! Most of them come attached with a ponytail holder so just throw your hair up in a bun or a half pony and ta-da… instant cute bow!

Gingham

Plaid was just a popular trend this fall in winter that it’s no surprise that gingham is trending for spring and summer! I love the simple black and white gingham prints, but I have found tons of cute pastel pieces that are giving me those pretty spring vibes.

Earthy Colors

This is kind of an “always trend” for me because I love neutrals so much. But lately, I have been seeing so much of these earthy colors in stores. One way to style these earthy tones is to add a pop of color in an accessory to give it that fun spring vibe. I love doing full neutral outfits. You really can’t go wrong!

Unique necklines

Asymmetrical, square necks, halters, cut-outs. These are some of the styles I have been seeing a lot in stores lately while shopping around. My favorite is the asymmetrical and one-shoulder looks. I have a feeling this will becoming more popular with tanks in the summer. This trend is super cute for swimsuits, too!

Belt Bags

Yes! Fanny packs are back!! (belt bags, sling bags…whatever you want to call them) I was so excited when I started seeing these in stores. Basically every designer has one of these bags out now. I purchased one from Marshalls and I can’t wait to use it more. Who wouldn’t want to carry all their stuff hands-free on your hip?! I don’t know about you but I find that purses and totes can get so annoying, especially when traveling! If you have any spring break trips planned consider getting one of these cute little bags to make your trip a little more hassle-free!
